Questions and Answers

Can I benefit as a New Recruit?
If you are overweight, lacking energy, or just plain tired of the same old fitness routine, our Boot Camp approach to fitness training is a sure fire way to lose fat, inches and tone muscle!

Do I require any special skills or abilities?
You don't require any special skills or abilities to participate in our Boot Camps; all you need is a positive attitude.  We can modify any exercise to accommodate your fitness level; taking into account any previous injuries.

What is the training approach?
You will be encouraged to challenge yourself to new heights while performing all kinds of exercises such as: running, skipping, jumping jacks, crunches, planks, push-ups, tug-o-war, agility drills and more!  The operative word is "FUN".

What do I bring to Boot Camp?
Bring a roll-up exercise mat, a pair of 8lb to 10lb dumbbells and lots of water.  In the summer please bring sunscreen and bug spray.

What should I wear?
Cross training running shoes are best, and come with sweat pants, shorts and T-shirt.  Dress for the weather appropriately in layers and bring rain gear as we conduct boot camp rain or shine.

Will I see results?
Yes, Boot Camps are hard work. You will sweat, you will get dirty and may even swear, but you will see results if you stick with it and work hard!  Many of our New Recruits experience substantial fat loss and strength gains in only four weeks!

Where are you located?

At the time of preparing this answer (July 2008), we have 12 locations within Manitoba; nine are in Winnipeg, one in Brandon, one in Steinbach and one in St. Andrews MB.

Are Boot Camps just held outdoors in the summer?
Indoor Boot Camps are conducted all year round; indoors in the winter and outdoors in the late spring, summer and early fall.

How long is a program mission?

Each mission is four weeks long, and we usually take one week off between each round of camp.  There are a couple of instances each year where we extend our rest to two weeks off.

How long is the workout?
Workouts are up to 60 minutes long, including warm up and cool down, except for our exclusive lunchtime camps at the Forks Market which are 40 minutes long.

Do you offer camps in AM and PM?
Many of the locations offer both am and pm camps, go to the program schedule page for times of day camps are offered in the location you are interested in.
